The American Lands Council is honored to be co-sponsoring, along with The Heritage Foundation and Federalism in Action, one of the most important meetings concerning the management of public lands in the west. On January 19th, some of the greatest minds in America will gather in Washington DC to address the real solution big enough to the economic, environmental, and constitutional crises facing our nation. Through this event, we will have a singular opportunity to continue building an ever-growing national coalition, and we invite you to be a part of it.
This past Monday, January 11th, ALC and the #FreeTheLands movement was featured as the front page lead story in the New York Times. If you've read the newspapers lately...or turned on the TV, then likely you've heard that there is some tension in the West over the proper management of the public lands. The American Lands Council has been instrumental in educating everyone from the public to public officials about the need for Congress to honor the same statehood promises and constitutional obligations made to each state at statehood. What promises and obligations? The promise and constitutional obligation of the federal government to transfer the public lands for more effective local care and management so that all states will have equal rights and opportunity to determine their own destiny.
Now it has become a topic in every presidential platform, a normal topic of conversation on talk shows and, although the facts aren't always correct, the articles are flying fast and furiously throughout the country. In just a few short years YOU have spark a national dialogue that is building toward a solution akin to a modern day Louisiana Purchase.
On January 19th, this special meeting will be taking place at The Heritage Foundation's Allison Auditorium in Washington DC, where several national experts will be presenting the only solution big enough for an environmental, economic and constitutional renaissance in America, a project we like to call, #FreeTheLands. These experts will be educating leaders and organizations, and building powerful national coalitions to stand up for the equal rights and opportunity for the West and the nation.
You are invited to take part in this meeting, either in person or via live streaming (terms and conditions of attendance are posted at heritage.org/Events/terms.cfm).
We also invite you to help us sponsor this important event. The costs of this event are high, but the return on investment is enormous...it is the right of each state to self-govern, as our Founding Fathers intended. As you know, The American Lands Council is a Non-Profit Organization and the power of this vital message comes from you...the people.
Please donate today to help ensure the success of this extraordinary opportunity, and to further the important work of building national coalitions dedicated to #FreeTheLands. Every dollar counts. $5, $20, $100, $1000 or more. There is no amount too small or too large. The momentum is here. This important truth needs to be heard. The time is now!
Your friends in truth,
The American Lands Council
